Voyria tenuiflora Griseb.

Flowering Voyria tenuiflora This is Voyria tenuiflora. It is characterized by its salmon color and the constriction at the top of the floral tube. The species does not root as deep as Voyria truncata and the root system is smaller to every respect, too. The shoots also do not branch as much. This specimen grew in an active ant pile (believe me! I suffered), which might be a hint to its mode of dissemination. The results of my research on this species has not been published yet.
